๐๏ธ Beaches & Parks: Where to Run
Flagler County is incredibly welcoming to dogs, but there are specific “No-Go” zones you need to know.
The Flagler Beach “Dog Zones”
In Flagler Beach, dogs are welcome on the sand in two specific areas:
- North Zone: North of 10th Street (heading toward Beverly Beach).
- South Zone: South of 10th Street (heading toward Gamble Rogers).
- โ ๏ธ Pro-Tip: Dogs are NOT allowed between North 10th and South 10th Streets (the central “Pier” area).
The Best Parks for Paws
- Good Times Dog Bar (Flagler Beach): This is the local “Holy Grail.” Itโs a veteran-owned, off-leash dog park and beer garden. You can grab a craft beer while your pup plays in a fenced, safe environment. Food trucks are frequently parked out front as well.
- Wadsworth Park (Palm Coast): Features a massive, dedicated dog park area with separate sections for small and large breeds.
- James F. Holland Memorial Park: A favorite for locals with shaded walking trails and a high-end dog park facility.
๐ Dining: Patios & “Yappy Hours”
Most restaurants in our area with outdoor seating are pet-friendly, but these spots go above and beyond.
- Turtle Shack (European Village): Their new courtyard location is perfect for dogs. Large umbrellas and plenty of space between tables make it a stress-free dining experience for pet owners.
- The Brass Tap (Palm Coast): Known for hosting “Yappy Hour” events. They often have water bowls ready on the patio for your “drinking buddy.”
- Oceanside Beach Bar & Grill: A classic Flagler Beach spot where the staff usually keeps a stash of treats behind the bar for patio guests.
- Whaam Burger: The ultimate casual beach walk-up. Grab a burger and head to the seawall with your pup.

๐ The “Local Paw” Rules (2026 Edition)
To keep Flagler County beautiful, please follow these community standards:
- Leash Laws: Dogs must be on a leash at all times in public areas (unless inside a designated off-leash park). In Flagler Beach, leashes must be 8 feet or shorter.
- Pick it Up: Flagler County takes its “Clean Beach” initiative seriously. Fines are enforced for those who don’t clear waste.
- Heat Safety: Florida sand gets hot! If the sidewalk is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Stick to early morning or sunset walks.
๐ Upcoming Pet Events
- Bark in the Park (March 28, 2026): Held at European Village, this is the county’s biggest pet festival featuring a 1-mile fun walk, vendors, and a dog parade.
